At what stage is the development?
We have already taken the necessary legal action. What is left: international testing, incorporating gained experiences and correcting possible mistakes.
Results achieved so far and the expected
benefits of the innovation for society
The system is still under development; its social usefulness depends on people who use it. We can certainly say that it helps efficiently in connecting demand and supply. If a service helps someone elderly or sick, it is highly beneficial.
References, awards, press / media appearances
The project has not been publicized yet, currently it is being tested among a smaller number of people.
What is needed for further progress?
We are open to every form of promotion and are looking for partners for these purposes.
Brief description of the innovation
HumanDroid is a portal where people can ask for almost anything and carry out almost any offer. ’Do you know someone who...?’ is an often-heard question. It can end in different ways, for example ’Do you know someone who would check a used car near Cologne?’ From now on, we can count on more than only our friends to help us, on a business basis anyone can be available. HumanDroid makes these connections possible.
Nowadays one can find a service provider for
everything. It gets more difficult when someone
is in need of non-standard services, especially
smaller requests. These are impossible to
resolve without connections. The basic idea for
HumanDroid is to be able to find helping people
for ’I cannot go there right now, could you check
it for me, please?’ types of requests. As if, people
requiring the service would telecontrol send
someone else instead of himself or herself. That
is where the name comes from, combining the
words Human and Droid. However, requests vary
a lot. Some examples:
• Do you know anyone who is a pilot and could
give me advice on how to become one?
• Do you know anyone who works on a rural
farm in Ireland and would tell me how to live a
good life there?
• Do you know anyone who would submit my
resume to all clothing shops in central Dublin?
I would like to work there.
• Do you know anyone who...
